{"id":1278,"date":"2021-03-18T17:49:38","date_gmt":"2021-03-18T16:49:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.avinent.com\/?p=1278"},"modified":"2024-11-13T09:41:25","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T08:41:25","slug":"biomimetic-iceberg-single-immediate-load-implant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/avinent.com\/en\/blog\/biomimetic-iceberg-single-immediate-load-implant\/","title":{"rendered":"BIOMIMETIC ICEBERG SINGLE IMMEDIATE-LOAD IMPLANT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\t\t\t\t\n<p>With the new BIOMIMETIC ICEBERG implant, Avinent has increased its range\nof surgical solutions to better adapt to all clinical situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The characteristics of the Iceberg design are ideal for restorations\nwith implants and prostheses, respecting the biology of the hard and soft\ntissues and favouring their growth, in addition to the aesthetics. Its\nconverging morphology in the transmucosal area, with no angles or sharp edges,\nallows the mucous membranes to grow over the titanium and form a seal, thus\nachieving the adjustment profile established when planning the case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinical Case<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We present the case of a 57-year-old patient who consulted the clinic\nfor mobility in tooth 14. This consisted of atraumatic extraction of tooth 14 and the placement\nof an Avinent Biomimetic ICEBERG immediate-load implant, the regeneration of\nthe vestibular gap and a single immediate-load crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was verified that there was sufficient basal bone to achieve good\nprimary stability of the implant. The surgery was scheduled and colour records\nwere taken for the preparation of the provisional in eggshell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.avinent.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/03\/4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1284\" \/><figcaption>Colour test for the provisional prosthesis<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The surgery was performed under local anaesthesia, starting with the extraction of tooth 14 and meticulous curettage of the socket. It was verified that the vestibular plate was intact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bed was prepared for securing the implant in the palatine bone, thus achieving good primary stability, maintaining distance from the vestibular plate and leaving a gap that would later be filled with a xenograft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex Avinent BIOMIMETIC ICEBERG implant was chosen as the\npatient&#8217;s vertical gum thickness was 4 mm, so it was possible to place the\nimplant at bone level and achieve a seal with the soft tissues around the\npolished neck of the implant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An insertion torque of 35 Ncm was achieved and, in the same surgical\nintervention, an antirotation titanium abutment was connected to the implant to\nconstruct a screw-mounted immediate-load provisional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" post-placement<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Using photopolymerisable composite flow (Tetric EvoFlow, Ivoclar\nVivadent) the provisional was captured in the mouth, for improved to positioning the provisional crown, the vestibular gap was\nfilled with a block xenograft to avoid the collapse of the vestibular plate,\nfollowing the immediate-regeneration Teflon and composite.
