Online ahead of print. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A definitive implant cast should be an accurate representation of the 3-dimensional (3D) position of the implants in the patient\u2019s mouth. When using conventional impression technique, many factors can affect the accuracy of the impression for multiple implants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of this\nin vitro study was to compare the linear and angular implant replica position accuracy on complete edentulous maxillary casts either\nmade of dental stone or additive manufactured polymers using a coordinate\nmeasuring machine (CMM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A complete edentulous maxillary cast with 6 implant\nreplicas was prepared. The definitive cast was duplicated using two\nmanufacturing procedures namely conventional (CNV group) and additive\nmanufacturing procedures (AM group). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No significant differences were found between\nthe two groups.
