Benelux, Canada<\/span><\/a>, Taiwan<\/span><\/a>, Croatia and Romania are other examples of countries where the company\u2019s performance has been outstandingly above average until now. The new dynamics of the global economy, which is currently undergoing a period of strong dynamism and change, means that the market has now become the whole world.<\/p>\n

The opening up of local economies, market unification, product standardization and new communication channels all imply that looking abroad can help to find opportunities in markets with growth potential. Portugal is one success story where AVINENT has been warmly welcomed. Joao Almeida, Business Manager of AVINENT Portugal, claims that AVINENT\u2019s products in Portugal have had a high level of acceptance: \u201cIts portfolio of solutions in the field of Oral Implantology and Digital Health has attracted the interest of medical professionals because of its ability to respond to everyday needs, thereby filling several manufacturing gaps in the market.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Joao Almeida believes that the keys to AVINENT\u2019s success in Portugal are \u201cresearch and development, need-based training, greater efficiency in responding to requests, immediate logistics, simplicity of brand devices and greater adaptation to the needs of doctors.\u201d According to Xavier Boadas, the head of AVINENT\u2019s International Department, the success of this growth is based on \u201can excellent knowledge of the market by our partners in Portugal and intense, continuous collaboration between the two parties.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Joao Almeida, the most outstanding feature of AVINENT\u2019s successful history in the Portuguese market is its ability to develop customizable solutions that can address the most varied and complex issues that may arise in the maxillofacial field: \u201cI am referring to Digital Health, in which we combine all the technology and scientific research to develop solutions in areas such as reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, neurosurgery, panfacial fractures or orbital cavity, among others.\u201d<\/p>\n

AVINENT Portugal\u2019s Business Manager points to Coral<\/span><\/a> and Ocean<\/span><\/a> implants and the guided surgery<\/span><\/a> system as the company\u2019s star products in this western corner of the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n

As Xavier Boadas explains: \u201cOur presence at Expo-Dent\u00e1ria<\/span><\/a>, the most important sector congress and fair in Portugal, was also very important. Organized by the prestigious Portuguese Dental Association (OMD), it was this year held at MEO Arena in Lisbon\u2019s Parque das Na\u00e7\u00f5es. In 2018 the OMD congress will be held in Porto and AVINENT has already confirmed its presence there.\u201d<\/p>\n

AVINENT has welcomed professional delegations from various clinics in Portugal at its headquarters<\/span><\/a>. In addition to visiting the company\u2019s facilities, the doctors also participated in a workshop on guided surgery and witnessed live surgery at a dental clinic.
