{"id":7435,"date":"2023-05-16T16:57:19","date_gmt":"2023-05-16T14:57:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.avinent.com\/?p=7435"},"modified":"2024-11-13T12:59:17","modified_gmt":"2024-11-13T11:59:17","slug":"subperiosteal-implant-consensus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/avinent.com\/en\/blog\/subperiosteal-implant-consensus\/","title":{"rendered":"The first Subperiosteal Implant Consensus organized by Avinent Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\t\t\t\t\n<p>Last Friday, May 12, Avinent organized the<strong> first Consensus Day on Customized Subperiosteal Implants<\/strong> together with leading experts from the field of maxillofacial surgery and dentistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the day was not to obtain a single answer to a series of questions raised, but to encourage clinicians to ask questions and consider key factors in order to make their own decisions about a treatment plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 5 thematic blocks discussed during the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cmf.avinent.com\/en\/personalised-solutions\/?utm_source=Web&amp;utm_medium=Organic&amp;utm_term=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_campaign=NP\">Customized Subperiosteal Implant<\/a> (ISP)<\/strong> Workshop were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Indications for ISPs<\/li><li> Planning, design and fabrication of ISPs<\/li><li> Surgical protocol and possible complications<\/li><li> Prosthetic restoration and possible complications<\/li><li> Benefit-risk and patient satisfaction on the quality of the treatment<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" src=\"https:\/\/avinent.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/3_Blog-Imatges-articles-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7407\"\/><figcaption>Participants of the Consensus at the Avinent Hub facilities<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Six doctors from the field of maxillofacial surgery and dentistry, a moderator with experience in research methodology, and part of Avinent&#8217;s engineering-scientific team participated in the meeting.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results of the meeting and publication of the Consensus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The conclusions of the meeting will be compiled in a document that will be shared with the scientific community and at congresses in the sector.<br><\/strong>The use of customized implants in reconstructive and craniomaxillofacial surgery must be supported by evidence-based research.
