We spoke to a variety of practitioners using Biomimetic PEARL to analyze its first year of implementation.
PEARL is characterized by an innovative two-piece design (implant and abutment) that provides great versatility to practitioners. This is confirmed by Dr. Raquel Fernández Jiménez from Centro Dental Esprohident in Jerez de la Frontera, for whom PEARL mini implant “represents an ideal solution for removable, minimally invasive prostheses.” Dr. Fernández is a dentist specializing in periodontics and claims: “Problems with monoblock implant designs before were frequent, because you had to change everything when balls became worn. But now this problem completely disappears with two pieces.”
Dr. Juan Carlos Gonzalo from Madrid explains: “Our experience with PEARL mini implant has been relatively brief, approximately three months, but we are extremely satisfied as we have not had any problems with the multiple applications for which it has been used.”
He claims that PEARL mini implant is particularly outstanding for its “intuitive, effective placement.” And continues: “The system incorporates a holder whose function is to prevent soft tissue collapse from insertion of the implant to the placement of the abutment, which makes our job a lot easier.” Dr. Gonzalo also emphasizes: “The polished collar incorporated into this mini implant provides it with ideal characteristics to obtain esthetic results that are unbeatable to this day.” He also scores its milling protocol very highly: “It is not complex at all thanks to its small diameter.” He additionally thinks very highly of the implant’s different types of lengths and diameters: “It makes working in the clinic a lot easier and helps us to adapt to each patient according to his or her needs.”
